Welcome to Tribeca Organization

Welcome to Tribeca. As anyone who has experienced even the most fleeting of visits to this special neighborhood knows, Tribeca is a place that never ceases to surprise. Its historic streets are home to an extraordinary array of culinary, architectural, and cultural delights — some world famous, but many others little-known secrets waiting to be discovered: even if you think you know it, there's always something unexpected around the corner. This new website is designed to help you explore and take advantage of all these extraordinary resources, from the latest eatery or gallery, to long-established food market or dog walking service.

Tribeca Friends and Neighbors - THIS MONTH

Tribeca Meet & Greet

Wednesday, February 10  6:30 – 9 PM

Body & Mind Builders

78 Reade Street (between Broadway & Church)

Here’s a invitation to get out of that winter cold – the next Tribeca Meet and Greet will be held at Body & Mind Builders on Wednesday, February 10. There will be a little wine, nosh, lots of good cheer and for the first time at one of these events, there will be activities for children, so please bring everyone along.

This time we will be able to network and also get a chance to view the Body & Mind facilities and learn about their classes in Yoga, modern dance, American Sign Language and other programs for both children and adults. There’s a special invitation for Tribeca parents to bring their kids – there will be some arts and crafts with origami jewelry making to keep them occupied. This will be a special Chinese New Year celebration, so there will be some food in keeping with the festivities. Frankly Wines at 66 West Broadway has kindly provided some alcoholic beverages; Sambazon, the global leader in Acai beverages will be providing a sampling of their drinks. If anyone else would like to contribute, please contact me at the address below.

For those who have not attended a Tribeca Meet-and-Greet, we have been meeting in a different Tribeca restaurant or business, about once a month.  We've been able to exchange some ideas, do some networking and have a drink with the neighbors. These get-togthers are about the Tribeca you do not see in the outside media – this is the Tribeca of families, of small locally-owned businesses, of an area proud of its superb schools and community minded activists. In other words, the neighbors. Come and join us.
I am very happy to say that this event is now in its fifth year , which in my mind at least, makes it my very own TriBeCa TraDiTion. We've had schools, clothing stores, kid's stores, restaurants, doctors - some people who hadn't even opened yet. Everybody, residents, students, business owners, even job seekers are welcome to come and network—And if everyone will bring one person they think would benefit from meeting the neighbors, we will have a fantastic group and a terrific time. And I promise no one will make any boring speeches. PLEASE FORWARD this around, especially to the new businesses in town.

I would also like to extend a special invitation to our neighbors over in Battery Park City - please come and share your concerns, needs and ideas.

Don't be shy -- please drop by and join us. Everybody with an interest in Lower Manhattan is welcome.
